JDRF is closer now than ever to finding a cure. Your donation will make a dramatic impact as JDRF moves life altering research out of the lab and into human clinical trials. Typically, more than 85 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.

Planned Gifts

Almost 40 years ago, parents of children with type 1 diabetes began building a legacy—a world free of diabetes. Through the creation of JDRF, these visionary individuals made a lifelong commitment to finding a cure through the support of research. There are a myriad ways that you can create your personal legacy of a cure -- from naming JDRF as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust arrangement.

Memorials and Honorariums

What better way to remember a loved one who has passed away, or to acknowledge a special occasion than with a memorial or tribute gift to help the JDRF find a cure for diabetes and its complications?

The North FLorida’s Chapter's Donation Program offers the opportunity for friends and family to remember someone they miss or celebrate a special occasion while contributing to our mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

You could make a donation in honor of:

• a birthday or other milestone
• an academic or athletic achievement
• a wedding anniversary
• as a special holiday gift
• as a get well wish
• or just to show a friend or family member who has lost a loved one, especially if to diabetes complications, just how much you care and want a cure to be found.

You can ask family and friends to use this program to raise money by suggesting that they give to JDRF in lieu of gifts for birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, holidays or any other celebrations in your life. Some of our family teams have raised thousands in this way to support research to find a cure.

Start by calling our office at (904)739-2101 for more information or email us with any questions.
If you mail a donation to the chapter, clearly write the name of the person in whose honor or memory you are making the gift. Also, indicate the name and address of the person(s) who should receive notification of your gift. Once processed, you will receive an acknowledgement and we will send a card notifying your honoree or next of kin that you have made a memorial or honor gift.
